Enjoy!” Lamb of God is out on the Ashes of Leviathan Tour alongside Mastodon, with special guests Kerry King and Malevolence, and dates across North America running through next month. Stryper has just announced the upcoming release of their 12th studio album, When We Were Kings, set for September 13th via Frontiers Music Srl. This week, the band is sharing both a lyric video and visualizer video for two new tracks, “Love’s Symphony”: https://youtu.be/hGJ_z23tovk?si=Bip8PGheV8I6diF2 and “Grateful”: https://youtu.be/HthIwC05sS4?si=yFGEGVHKHV0si7BA. On each track, Michael Sweet comments, “We’re always trying to merge the past with the present. Trying to incorporate the classic sound that older fans miss with the modern sound that newer fans hope for. ‘Love’s Symphony’ is a great combination of both. It not only represents who we were but also who we are. We really are excited about this one and we hope you all are too. ‘Grateful’ is an answer to all the fans that have been wanting to hear a throwback to songs like ‘Calling on You’. It’s a different side of the band musically with a straight ahead, pop/rock melody and groove. It’s also a message of gratitude and being grateful for what you have, no matter who you are”. Stryper will also head out on a 40th Anniversary tour this fall. Patriarchs In Black guitarist Dan Lorenzo says, “Karl has sang for us on all three of our albums, and Johnny and I love working with Karl as well as Dave. I’ve only met with Karl in person a handful of times, but we go back to 1992 when he jumped up on stage to perform [Black Sabbath’s] ‘Snowblind’ with Non-Fiction in Raleigh.
