Bruce Dickinson is gearing up to release his first new solo album since 2015, with The Mandrake Project slated for early 2024 via BMG Records. Bruce Dickinson says of the Project, “This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I’m even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life. We’re planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can! As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon!” Keep an eye out for more announcements via: https://www.themandrakeproject.com/.

3TEETH has officially released their highly anticipated full-length, EndEx, this week via Century Media Records. The band has unveiled the final single and music video to coincide with the release, their cover of Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule the World”: https://youtu.be/CiUh_mwEJeE?feature=shared. Frontman Alexis Mincolla says of the track, “Listening to it, I felt the weight of the world and the wild-eyed frenzy of the human condition – the never-ending chase, the insatiable hunger. And in that moment, cruising down the highway, surrounded by the vastness of the desert, I realized: We’re all just careening towards our own versions of world domination, fueled by dreams and delusions”. 3TEETH is set to close out the year with a show at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on December 29th. Go Ahead And Die, featuring the collaboration of Max Cavalera and Igor Amadeus Cavalera, is heading to the release of Unhealthy Mechanisms, their second album via Nuclear Blast Records. For now, you can check out the second single, “Desert Carnage”, on which Igor comments, “‘Desert Carnage’ is a blistering fast song that is as scorching hot as the Sonoran desert itself. The barbaric theme of the song stems from the cruelness and inhospitable terrain of the desert, as desolate and unkind as a place can be”: https://youtu.be/sQ4ggUb_96w?feature=shared. Amorphis has just revealed the second single en route to their live album release, Queen of Time (Live at Tavastia 2021), set for October 13th via Atomic Fire Records. Guitarist Esa Holopainen says, “We shot a video for the song once back in the day when the Queen Of Time album was released originally. An interesting anecdote is that Tomi Joutsen and Pekka Kainulainen [known as the band’s lyricist] both travelled to Norwegian Lapland to film the landscape shots. But in the end you could only see Pekka in the video. Poor Tomi had to travel and to spend a couple of days in Norway for nothing. The very nice video was directed by Sentenced drummer Vesa Ranta, but you can now also witness the live version of the track and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do”. Of “Ill Fated”, Death Dealer Union says: “We wanted to present something a little different with this video – everything from the fantastic Cherry Bombs dance troupe to the actors involved. We sought to do something not usually done in heavy metal videos. Enjoy!” For more on the band, visit: https://www.deathdealerunion.com/.

Obscura recently announced the upcoming release of A Celebration I – Live in North America, set for October 27th on Nuclear Blast Records. This week, you can see a live video for the track, “Emergent Evolution”, captured by footage from their tour in Mexico last year. Steffen Kummerer says, “‘Emergent Evolution’ quickly became the most popular track of our 2018 record Diluvium. The song has been part of our live shows ever since, and combined with a loud and wild audience as in Mexico back in 2022, it‘s just pure joy to perform live on stage”. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/QL_7m4XwQHY?feature=shared. Obscura is hitting the road for a run in Latin America and the UK this fall, the latter of which will be accompanied by labelmates Decapitated. For more, head to: https://realmofobscura.com/live/.
