Dieth is a new band formed by David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), Swedish Grammy nominated guitarist/vocalist Guilherme Miranda (former Entombed A.D.), and drummer Michał Łysejko (ex-Decapitated). The trio have signed a worldwide contract with Napalm Records and recently released their debut single, “In the Hall of the Hanging Serpents” (https://youtu.be/WRl1MaH-8uc) on the way to their debut album, planned for early 2023. The band says of the signing, “We are stoked to announce that we’ve signed a multi-album international record deal with Napalm Records, who will release our debut album in 2023. Their approach to music and devotion to metal made Napalm the perfect, most suitable place for us and our music. Last but not least, we would like to thank each one of you that are giving us this massive support. More info and details about the album will follow soon. Stay tuned!”, while Napalm Records A&R, Sebastian Muench adds, “The term “supergroup” feels overused nowadays, but with the formation of Dieth, it correctly and justifiably describes the coming together of these three extremely talented musicians. The first single, “In the Hall of the Hanging Serpents”, underlines that the debut album could become a death-thrash metal masterpiece. Napalm Records is pleased and proud to partner with Dieth, to establish the band and make the new album a success. Personally, as a lifelong Megadeth fan, this signing is a dream come true”. Moonspell is on the way to their new release From Down Below – Live 80 Meters Deep, a unique live BluRay/DVD/album recorded 80 meters below the earth in an underwater cave in Portugal. This week, you can see another new video, for the track “Apophthegmata (Live 80 Meters Deep), right here: https://youtu.be/-TKKu3NQBf0. Frontman Fernando Ribeiro describes the track: “‘Apophthegmata’ is a Greek word that defines a collection of texts, a book with the most important lessons and revelations of the Desert Fathers, the kings of Hermits. They stood in the darkness to enlighten themselves and often brought their conclusions of peace and wisdom to their restless and suffering communities. This sing stands for exactly that, musically speaking: a game of light and shadow, a bridge between fragility and strength. It quickly became a must on our setlist and a fan favourite of the Hermitage album. Enjoy the light, learn with the darkness, be kind to yourself so you can be kind to others”. From Down Below will be released on September 30th via Napalm Records, with a European tour alongside Insomnium, Wolfheart, Borknagar, and Hinayana to follow. The band says of the track, “This song is for you…it is for every warrior and shieldmaiden who marches with us since we started this journey. It’s your battle hymn and our tribute to the best army of fans one can imagine. Let your voices crack the sky”. Warkings will tour in support of Powerwolf and Dragonforce throughout Europe this fall.
