Soulfly has just announced the impending release of the twelfth studio album from the iconic Extreme Metallers led by Max Cavalera, with Totem set for August 5th via Nuclear Blast. This week, you can get a first taste of the album with a lyric video for the track “Superstition”, created by Aimed & Framed alongside 3D character artist, Álvar Gómez Padilla: Max Cavalera says, “Totem is a celebration of the spiritual nature. It was a 2-year journey writing with Zyon. This album is about all the joy, the fun, and the anger in Metal”. Keep an eye out for updates via:

Cradle of Filth has just joined the roster of Napalm Records, officially signing a worldwide contract with the label this week. Dani Filth says of the announcement, “It is with great expectation and excitement that we announce our move to Napalm Records, having seen and heard a great deal of complimentary things about the label, which in turn leads us to believe that this will be the perfect nesting ground for Cradle Of Filth in 2022 and beyond. We’d like to thank all our fans for their continued support and trust in us doing the right thing for the band and its music. All hail the eternal ‘Filth!’”. Napalm Records CEO Thomas Caser states, “We are thrilled to welcome the most influential and iconic extreme metal band to our ever-growing Napalm Records family. Being a fan of the band since their very first album, it is with great honor and excitement that we’re able to work with them from now on! We are ready to conquer the metal world with Cradle Of Filth!” Cradle of Filth is currently on tour in North America with Danzig and Crobot, with European Summer Festivals and a Fall tour to follow. Behemoth will release their 12th studio album, Opvs Contra Natvram, this fall via Nuclear Blast, and the band has just revealed a cinematic video for the first single, “Ov My Herculean Exile”, which you can see right here: Nergal says, “The album title means going against the current. It’s the negative of the values and morals and ethics that I stand against. I’ve seriously been wrestling with destructive tendencies in pop culture — cancel culture, social media, and tools which I feel are very dangerous weapons in the hands of people who are not competent to judge others. That’s something which I find very destructive and disturbing — and extremely limiting coming from an artists’ perspective. This is my middle finger to that. There’s a song on the record called ‘Neo-Spartacvs.’ Spartacus was one of the most iconic rebels in history who went against the most powerful empire of all time. In the end, it’s me screaming, ‘I Am Spartacus, and so are you!’ I want to spark that flame of rebellion. If something seems wrong then stand up to it!” Visit: for more.

The Devil Wears Prada is getting ready to head out on tour this summer, with a headline run across North America with Stray From The Path and Dying Wish just announced. The band will perform the Zombie and ZII EPs in full, alongside some of their greatest hits. Vocalist/guitarist Jeremy DePoyster says, “With live music back in full swing, we knew we had to come out this summer with a bang. Playing both Zombie EPs front-to-back was a no-brainer, and we can’t wait to bring the heavy every night. We’re also tossing in some of our oldest and newest favorites as well, so do not miss this undead summer party. It’s going to be nuts”, while vocalist Mike Hranica adds, “It’s going to be amazing playing through ZII — the songs were born during lockdown, so we’ve yet to play most of these tunes live. The original Zombie EP is a proud and fundamental component to our band, combined with support from Stray and Dying Wish, is all going to make for an excellent tour, and there’ll be even more news to come! I can confidently say this will be a summer run to remember”. For the full list of dates and details, visit:

Finnish Fantasy Metallers Battlelore are about to release their first new album in over ten years, following up on 2011’s Doombound with The Return of the Shadow, set for June 3rd via Napalm Records. You can check out a lyric video for the track “Chambers of Fire” here: Here’s what Guitarist Jyri Vahvanen has to say about the track: “‘Chambers Of Fire’ presents the heavier side of our new album The Return Of The Shadow with its pounding riffs and thundering drums, roaring over you like a cave troll! The song is about the great forge inside the fiery tunnels of great Mount Doom, where the One Ring is created and eventually destroyed. Fire and brimstone from the heart of darkness!” For more, head to:

Instrumental Heavy Rockers My Sleeping Karma are on the way to releasing their first new album in seven years, with Atma, following up on 2015’s Moksha, set for July 29th via Napalm Records. You can check out the music video for the first single, “Prema”, right here: Here’s what the band has to say about the upcoming release: “We already started working on the video content back in 2018. The world is full of hate, envy, fear and greed and it seems the competition never stops. Society is becoming more and more lost in a dog eat dog jungle, and back then we would have never thought that in 2022, it would be even worse. Besides the latest pandemic or the Russian/Ukrainian war, so many individuals are facing massive conflicts on a daily basis. In the end, there’s always hope that the world will become better again, once mankind understands. Love is the key and peace starts inside of everyone. The video track ‘Prema’ tells that story and the entire album is all about this. Atma goes out with love to our dear families, friends and fans. Thanks for supporting us over the years and especially in the latest dark times”. Visit: for more.
