Eyehategod’s upcoming album, A History of Nomadic Behavior, is almost here, with the release set for March 12th via Century Media Records. This week, the band has unveiled the final preview of the record, with the track “Circle of Nerves”, which you can check out right here: https://eyehategod.lnk.to/AHistoryofNomadicBehaviorPR. Frontman Mike IX Williams says of the track, “‘Circle of Nerves’ is the last single before the release of our new album, A History of Nomadic Behavior. This track is a prime example of the lowest form of abstract crossover trash to crawl out of the methadone clinic basement. We can’t wait to play these songs live in filthy venues, where the real noise comes to life”. Eyehategod will be celebrating the release of their first album in seven years with a virtual Q&A and listening party, hosted by Revolver and Full Metal Jackie, on March 11th. You’ll be able to see it via the Revolver Official YouTube Channel right here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_tKHpo6xYpwdIRC4uotmuQ. Keep up with the band via: https://eyehategod.ee.

Silver Lake By Esa Holopainen is a band newly signed to Nuclear Blast, featuring Amorphis’ lead guitarist heading into a solo venture set to make a self-titled debut on May 28th. The album will feature several special guests, including Tomi Joutsen of Amorphis, Jonas Renkse of Katatonia, Björn ‘Speed’ Strid of Soilwork, Anneke Van Giersbergen, and more. Here’s some of what Esa Holopainen has to say about his solo work: “At first, I really didn’t know if the album would turn out to be purely instrumental or would there be vocalists as well. However, one thing was certain, I wouldn’t be the singer of Silver Lake. Many times, when people think about a guitarist’s solo album, they get the impression of technical stuff with a huge amounts of notes played extremely fast. Well, I‘m not a big fan of that kind of music. Whenever I write, I always want to pile up interesting songs, and not just shred for the sake of it”. Andrew W.K. has just unleashed a new single via Napalm Records, with the track “Babalon”. You can check out the audio, as well as the official music video, right here: https://smarturl.it/Babalon. Director Michael R.C. gives the following commentary on the video: “With ‘Babalon’, we wanted the audience to slink back down Andrew’s tower and storm the gateway to the city of pyramids with him, or someone who looks like him. We had all been working really hard to lay thee gagging monster down, so it would dwell forever in the chasm of frivolous forming. All these images come from there, from where it’s going. That’s where we put Andrew. Consciousness hasn’t opened reality, only nightmares. Zone-out now”. For more on Andrew W.K., head to: https://www.instagram.com/andrewwk/?hl=en.
